The BEST homemade chocolate cream pie I've EVER TASTED. I also had some delicious apple pie, homemade as well.

Some pineapple frozen yogurt. Lighting was gross. :p Wearing my wire ring (tutorial).

Update + Recipes I Want to Try

Sorry I'm a bad blogger. April Fool's! I'm the greatest blogger EVER! Lol, jk. But seriously, sorry. I'm lazy and busy and... Yep. So I won't be checking in as often as I used to (which wasn't even a lot, but more than i do now). Sorry. Anyways, here are some recipes I wanna try from my Pinterest board.

1. Peach crisp. I made this once with my mumma and it was sooooooo good.

2. Chocolate sheet cake. I need this.

3. Rollo cookies. I can only imagine... because I'm probably never going to make them.

4. Fudge cookies. Seems easy. And scrumptious. And healthy, obviously.

5. Soft pretzels. I love soft pretzels. If you made me these you'd be my BFF. Maybe. Or maybe I'd just take the pretzels and run.

Thanks for lookin'!

Inspiration: Blanket Jacket

It's been cold and rainy lately. So I'm being inspired by comfy, loose coats and jackets. Specifically the blanket jacket. They seem so cozy and warm--like a Snuggie that people can take you seriously in (not that I'm dissing the Snuggie or anything. I want one. I just, y'know, wouldn't wear it to school. I would wear a blanket jacket to school, though). So here are some jackets I like; not necessarily 'blanket jackets,' but just some that have caught my eye.

This jacket makes me think of adventure... especially with her cool bedroll thingy strapped up like that...

Here are a couple of tutorials that make me think of the above...

Top Ten Tutorials of 2011

These, in my opinion, are the best tutorials of 2011. :)

1. Draped circle top- by far the best tutorial (or at least most popular!). Super comfy! I wear this a ton...

2. Slouchy boxy tee-Even though I JUST put this tutorial up Tuesday, I really love it.

My sister's already made one (it's a crop top).

3. T-shirt racerback tank-not my favorite (not even close), but one of the more popular tutorials.
4. Wrap bracelet-I love this bracelet; I wear it a lot.
5. Braided headband-very comfy, stretchy, workout type headband.

6. Draped cardigan-a guest post.
7. Shawl pin/barette-made from wire.
8. Paper chain bracelet-used with pretty scrapbook paper.
9. 5-in-1 infinity scarf-soft and cushy cowl pattern with 5 different ways of wearing it.
10. Tunic-this is what I called hip hop style, I guess. Obviously I had no idea what I was talking about. Wait... I still don't know what I'm talking about. Oh well. Just PLEASE ignore how I wrote it. It's pretty embarassing, the kind of post that you REALLY want to delete/severely edit but don't have the heart to. Yep. It's that embarassing. I guess I thought I sounded pretty cool... Not that I'm not, but, y'know...
Wow. Tomorrow's 2012!!! Happy New Year!

School's Out!!!

Things I want/am to/going to do over the summer:

1. Disneyland!
O O
(o^__^o) (yup that's supposed to be mickey mouse)

2. SEW!!!
3. knit
4. Go outside and lay down on top of our broken fence that's just lying there in both my and our neighbor's yard and pretend I'm in the middle of a shipwreck (the fence fell down from wind/rain and no one's bothered to fix it and attach it to the rest of the fence).
5. waste my time
6. write on this blog
7. write my story
8. have a movie marathon and an indoor picnic

Truthfully the real reason why I started this blog was because I'm planning to make my own graduation dress. I kind of imagined that by 2012 I'd have a bunch of followers that will comment on my amazing dresses and tutorials. I realize now that's not exactly how it goes and it's a lot harder than that. Thank you all of my amazing followers and the people who read my blog. I'd probably have stopped writing if it wasn't for you guys. [wipes off tears trickling down face] Thank you.

Summer's Coming

Blech. Summer. I was born in the summer, but that doesn't mean that I like it. Too hot. Too stuffy. And it makes me grouchy, grouchy, grouchy. It's getting hotter, and the shorts are coming out. At least at my school. Though it's kinda gross when they're wearing super-short shorts that don't fit, and they squeeze their skin like spandex. Even though it's part of the dress code to not wear them shorter than finger-tip length, nobody seems to care (which is unfair to me, because I feel like I have long arms--and a shorter body-- and my fingertips reach right above my knee. So the only shorts I could wear are basketball shorts). The vice principal just walked by some girls, and then she smiled and just said, "Good morning." Curiouser and curiouser.

What I do like about summer is fruit. Some of my favorite fruits (not in any particular order):

1. peaches. hard peaches, like an apple. I don't like it when it dribbles down my chin in a sticky little stream.
2. apples. crunchy, cold apples. Actually, I like all my fruit cold, except when there's something extra on top (i.e., apples with butter and brown sugar, bananas with choco chips and marshmallows [i've never tried it but it sounds good], etc.)
3. nectarines. yummy... shiny, gleaming nectarines...
4. plums. purple plums, slightly tart but more sweet. I love asian plums. they have a brownish, speckled appearance with a yellow-orange inside. I don't know if they're called asian plums; i just call them that because I got them from Chinatown. There's another type of asian plum; they're small and yellow, but those aren't as good. We have some in our backyard, but it was sour--but maybe because they weren't ripe, i don't know...

eh, probably not.

just kidding; they're pretty good when they're ripe.

Anyways, I don't like summer, and I want to sew more. Hope I can get some more tutorials up and take a trip to the fabric store in SF soon. Have a nice day. :)

Wish List

Things I want to sew:

1. twisted jmorco shrug
2. a jumper for playing, with big pockets. Usually I don't like dresses, but a jumper makes me think of playing and going on adventures in the woods.
3. a smock--reason in #2

Things I want to knit:

1. Chunky boatneck sweater from joann's rainbow sensations yarn

On Saturday we're going to either the fabric store or Joann's. What should I make first?! What would you want to make?
