My Lame, lame, lame Attempt at Translating French: Twisted and Wavy Look

Source: lalovelist.com via Naomi on Pinterest

I'm bored cuz i can't move around a lot... so i did this instead...
I love this style so much that I typed it all up on Google translate and attempted to translate it. Granted it didn't work so well, but i tried and kind of understand it... maybe...

French to English translation

1.) Form pretty ugly loops of iron and lacquer to tip.
Translation: duh, form pretty ugly loops with an iron bar. Just kidding, i think it means curl your hair with an iron...? Then put lacquer on your hair? Oh poo, what's lacquer? Be right back to look up lacquer... Okay, lacquer I guess would be some sort of paint... so like hairspray? My best guess...
2.) pick up a layer of hair in front and tie
form a bun neglected ugly end of an elastic

Translation: take a layer of hair from the front and, judging by the pic, pin or tie it up? Then form a bun with the hair that you always ignore and don't like because it's so ugly and tie into a bun. I don't know, I'm bored and confused; what do they mean by neglected? Your lonely hair?
3.) take two individual strands from the top and front to pick up on the sides loose coils

Translation: take some strands from the top part you pinned up and a strand from the side and loosely twist them together.
4.) attach these two coils in the middle bun neglected

Translation: pin the coils into the middle of your lonely neglected bun.
5.) Repeat step 4 several times until it remains only as long strands in front of bangs

Translation: repeat with both sides (judging from the pic) till your bangs are regular and are only long strands.
6.) Crepe back of the fringe volume pourobtenirsubtle (i'm guessing there are spaces between those words, making it 'pour obtenir subtle') & sexy

Translation: Judging from the picture, somehow make your bangs voluminous to obtain the traits of subtle and sexy... oh gosh, really? Like this isn't hard enough...
7.) Attach the wick stays at the back & in hanks to detach a few strands to frame your face smooth &

Translation: attach loose strands from the back to the bun and loosen/detach strands in the front to frame your face... smoothly?
Hope this helps... or not... woohoo for google translate! o(^__^o)
edit: as Alyssa mentioned in the comments section, there's also an english translation. i found it right after i made this... oh well, i was bored, what can you do? :p

My New Boo-Boo

I pulled my hip playing soccer in tryouts. I tried to kick a goal and kicked forward too hard and felt it pop. (well at least i don't have to finish my swimming lessons... heh heh) I may not be able to do many crafts for a little bit. Or post. Or maybe I'll be posting a lot because I won't be able to run around and make mischief (like making my mother's birthday present behind her back, heh heh, i'm so bad...) Anyways, if you don't see me for a while (or see me a lot), you know why. See ya later! :)

Oh, and if you're wondering if i scored the goal, i did. Was it a great shot?
Yes.
Was it worth it?
No.

Anthropologie Knockoff: Curtain Call Top Tutorial

Edit: I've decided to repost this because I didn't have any pics of me wearing it. These pics are ways to wear it. The 2nd option is how I wore it to the play.

You can wear it as a casual tee...

Or with a cardigan...

Or belted.

Original Post:

Remember the Anthropologie Curtain Call top that I posted about? Well I finally got around to hand-sewing it, and I think it was worth it. I plan on wearing it to a play we're going to on Wednesday. We're supposed to wear sort of fancy clothes. My inspiration:
The result:

So, tutorial:

Materials: one t-shirt that fits you, one XL t-shirt, scissors, needle and thread/sewing machine, tape measure, pencil
1. Cut off sleeve hems, hem, and neckband.
2. Mark the front of the neck evenly, making six sections and five marks. With your tape measure, measure between the marks. This will be x.
3. Take your XL t-shirt and cut six strips, x" wide.
4. Use a basting stitch and baste each side of the strip. Pull it to gather the strip.
5. Place your gathered strip, matching it up with the lines, and backstitch it to the shirt on both sides.
6. Repeat with remaining strips.
7. Wear proudly. I added ties to the sides so it could tie in the back, because the shirt was wide, and I also added a band to the bottom so it was longer.

Happy Birthday to Me!

Okay sometime this month (or was it last month? or the month before?... i won't tell you. you'll have to guess) i turned 13. I won't say when cuz i shouldn't put that stuff out on the internet, mm-hm, am I right? Are you surprised I'm 13? Did you think I was already 13? Yep, this whole time a 12 year old has been throwing sewing ideas at you (disclaimer: i don't know what I'm doing; i use no patterns so please don't depend on all my advice because usually i just wing it). Hope you don't mind. However, somewhere on the blogosphere there's a six year old blogger, I forgot his name... Oh well.

Anyways, I had a lovely birthday... this month or last month... or maybe i'm lying and it was in february... but yeah.

For my birthday [this month] [last month] [in february] I got lots of money and gifts cards. $$$ oh yumm... if you were there at my b-day you'd see my eyes turn into cash registers... I also got a lovely blue bicycle that I love!

Yep i'm posting this cuz i want something interesting to write about. :) thanks.

Oh, and to the asians out there, do you find it annoying when people instantly assume you speak another language? It's definitely annoying when you can't (*cough, cough* that wouldn't be me *cough* i'm like, what, trilingual...).
